What is Grono School of Grass?
Our School of Grass training academy runs twice a week. Whether you’re an experienced landscaper, paving specialist or first-time installer wishing to add artificial grass to your range of services, Grono School of Grass is the perfect place to start.
Why Grono School of Grass?
We’re artificial grass specialists offering a carefully developed, versatile, top quality range of industry leading products designed to suit a range of applications and requirements. Our comprehensive full-day practical workshop costs just £100 and include an industry-recognised artificial grass installation training course at our dedicated School of Grass Training Academy, with a certificate issued upon successful completion.
What does the course involve?
Our comprehensive course has been specially developed by artificial grass experts. It’s been designed to offer a holistic and practical grounding in the application and installation of artificial grass. The course includes:
An introduction to artificial grass: You’ll learn about the pros and cons of artificial grass and the components of a good quality artificial grass. We’ll let you see and feel the difference between great artificial grass and poor quality alternatives so that you can confidently explain the difference (and advantages attached) to your customers.
The basics: Preparation is everything. We’ll show you how to get the ground works right so that your Grono grass looks perfect and lasts longer post-installation.
Most gardens can be laid two ways – price vs appearance. You’ll learn how to explain how to explain the difference, giving you the edge over the competition when dealing with a price-sensitive customer.
Fitting artificial grass and overcoming everyday challenges: At Grono our artificial grass comes in two and four metre widths – so what happens when the space you’re dealing with is wider than this? You’ll learn how to professionally join two pieces together, so you can tackle big jobs with confidence.
Tackling the trickier bits: What do you do when there’s a tree right in the middle of the lawn that the customer wants to keep? An oddly-shaped boundary, or a steep, uneven incline? Don’t panic. We’ll make sure you’re expertly equipped to navigate tricky trees and troublesome terrain – so you can confidently lay artificial grass around trees and other obstacles you may come across.
The finishing touches: We will equip you with the best finishing techniques to ensure that your Grono artificial lawn installation looks and feels fantastic.
Growing your business: Now that you’ve learned how to install artificial grass, we will show you how to promote your new service and attract more customers. If marketing isn’t your thing, don’t worry. We’ve done the hard work for you and designed several Grono artificial grass leaflet templates. We’ll give these to you on the day and show you how to get the best out of them.
Social media is also an awesome tool to help you promote your business. We’ll share some top tips and explain how you can generate business using the different platforms available.
Feedback and questions: Ask us anything or request clarification on something you’re not sure of – this is the perfect opportunity to make sure you’re clear on everything before you leave. Completing the course is also the first step in becoming a Grono accredited installer – so we’ll talk you through the simple process and explain the benefits of Grono accreditation.
To ensure high quality and maximise the practical elements of the workshop, spaces are limited to eight per day. Contact us today to find your nearest Grono School of Grass and book your place now.
